Our costume collection is on display at Kinross Arts Centre this February!

Explore the fascinating personal narratives woven into clothing and textiles in Stories Stitched in Fabric, an exhibition of historical and contemporary interpretations from local collections. Delve into the emotional resonance of these domestic arts, discovering garments as living archives of human experiences. Each piece unveils touching stories, inviting reflection on the threads that connect us all.

We're excited to be part of this exhibition at Kinross Arts Centre in Toorak. Stories Stitched in Fabric features some of our favourite pieces from the costume collection, including a nineteenth century patchwork creation, a much-loved Victorian gown and a shared wedding dress, along with some beautiful works from the Embroiderers' Guild of Victoria and artists Anzara Clark and Nicole Kemp.

The exhibition is free – and if you're feeling peckish afterwards, there's a cafe right across the hall.
