Since we can't meet in person, we're bringing our Pub to Pub walking tour to you online as part of the Bayside Seniors Healthy Ageing Festival.

Like everybody else in Melbourne, we've had to change a lot of our plans for the second half of the year due to the ongoing Delta outbreak. While we've been able to continue answering queries, undertaking research and producing our Journal under lockdown, we were unfortunately forced to cancel our August author talk and walking tour.

The ongoing restrictions also mean that we are unable to gather in person for our October walking tour, which we had planned to run as part of the Bayside Seniors Healthy Ageing Festival.

That's the bad news. The good news is, the Seniors Festival is going ahead online, and so are we! Read on for details of our virtual walking tour.

As COVID restrictions prevent us from meeting in person, we're bringing our walking tour to Zoom in a presentation filled with historical photos and stories of Brighton's past.

We'll take you from the former Khyats Hotel in Wilson Street to the Marine Hotel in New Street, explore the role early hotels played in the growth of the township and discovering significant places along the way. Come join us and discover a new way of looking at familiar landmarks!

When: Wednesday 20 October, 10.30-11.30 am.
Where: via Zoom
Cost: Free - register here
